BSAA Collabs for Movie Viewing!
On Wednesday, February 11, the LSU Black Student-Athlete Association (BSAA), in collaboration with the LSU Black Student Union (BSU) and LSU National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), transformed the Pete Maravich Assembly Center into a vibrant space for culture, community, and connection.
Hosted in the PMAC, the screening of Sinners brought together 225 student-athletes and members of the broader LSU community for an evening rooted in storytelling and celebration. After months of intentional collaboration and planning, BSAA, BSU, and NPHC delivered a powerful event that highlighted the strength of unity across organizations.
Early arrivals were welcomed with Raising Caneβs meals, freshly packaged popcorn, and beverages. Volunteers helped ensure a seamless check-in process and coordinated food distribution, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the evening.
The program began with remarks from representatives of each organization, reinforcing the purpose behind the event. From the opening welcome to the final credits, the energy in the room reflected the impact of thoughtful collaboration. .
Black Cinema was a testament to whatβs possible when student leaders come together with intention. Through culture, storytelling, and fellowship, the event successfully fostered meaningful engagement and connection across the LSU community.
