When the Whole Person Matters Most
Senior Associate AD for Health & Wellness Shelly Mullenix had the opportunity to sit down for a deep dive into the unique and collaborative approach that she has used over her career to impact collegiate and professional athletes, coaches, and families as they tackle the subject of mental health and wellness. During the sit-down with entrepreneur and podcaster Kelly Jackson of “Dreamed It Then Real Lifed It,” the duo discussed some real-life experiences and how to maneuver conversations about topics that can be uncomfortable or challenging. With Shelly’s holistic approach to overall health and wellness, she touched on the importance of working with the “whole” person through the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual Model which describes how these four component parts are interconnected, influence one another, and guide who we are and who we can become.
