Joe Jackson, Broadcast Operations Engineer: PERSERVERANCE, SERVICE

“I would like to nominate Joe Jackson for his outstanding work in preparing us for the Baseball National Championship Celebration. It’s no exaggeration to say that the event simply wouldn’t have happened without him.

On Monday, Joe spent the entire day helping launch a major, summer-long upgrade project that required us to dismantle nearly every audio and video route in our system. That same night, he meticulously reconnected, by hand, every source and destination needed to make Wednesday’s celebration a success.

Thanks to Joe’s perseverance and service, the event went off without a hitch. From bridging our studio to the venue and SEC network to running pre-show mic checks, Joe did everything short of lighting the fireworks that night.” ~nominated by Dave Haskin
