MAY 2025: Core Value Most Valuable Players

These team members have been nominated by their colleagues for demonstrating our core values in their work.

Doug Aucoin, Director of Video: EXCELLENCE, SERVICE

“We recently hosted The Cutting EDGE Workshop and invited Southern Athletics to participate in this professional development opportunity at the Football Operations Building. Doug and his team went above and beyond to support us, ensuring we had everything we needed from a technology standpoint. He displayed our graphics across every screen in the facility and downloaded all PowerPoint presentations to each computer to streamline transitions throughout the afternoon.”

“Doug remained on-site for the duration of the workshop, following the schedule so the presenters could focus solely on their sessions. His attention to detail and support played a key role in the events success. I’m grateful for his leadership, service, and excellence; he truly exceeded expectations.” ~nominated by Ashleigh Clare-Kearney Thigpen

Clerc Bertrand, Director, Partnership Development: RESPECT, SERVICE

“One morning after one of the many high school graduations we hosted, Clerc was picking up trash in our parking lot before the start of the workday. She demonstrated a selfless commitment to the greater good of our department by taking initiative to care for and respect our shared space. Clerc reinforced a culture of pride, accountability, and teamwork. Her example reminds us that leadership is often shown through the smallest actions, and that our standard of excellence is a shared responsibility.” ~nominated by Wendy Nall

Mo Carney, Assistant Director of IT Services: SERVICE

“When our post production team's video server crashed in the middle of March/crossover season, Mo rushed in to help us migrate over 80 terabytes of footage from just this year alone(!) to a new server drive. Without this level of service, my team would be at an insane detriment without access to any of our footage for file sharing. Thank you Mo for taking on this HUGE task for us :) it is so appreciated, more than you know!” ~nominated by Emily Dean

Stephen Guillaumin, Assistant Sports Turf Manager: PERSERVERENCE, RESPECT, SERVICE

“Steve has done an outstanding job in his role as a "utility" turf manager, consistently bringing a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Throughout spring football practice, he played a key role in maintaining the football fields and responded to every request with professionalism and dedication. He remains an invaluable asset and his contributions are essential to our department's continued success.” ~nominated by Morgan Durham

Nicco Lamendola, Creative Content Producer: SERVICE

“Nicco has been going above and beyond all while having an amazing attitude. While "his sport" has wrapped, he hasn't stopped contributing. He has repeatedly signed up to cover other sports, taken on tasks, and worked enthusiastically with our intern team. No job or event is beneath him. His passion for what he does is contagious and has elevated our department greatly. He's the best example of what it means to be a team player.” ~nominated by Sarah Ramundt

Eric Maxwell, Assistant Director of Broadcast Technology: PERSERVERANCE

“Prior to the start of the Battle on the Bayou Invitational, we encountered several issues with the field events participants/results not displaying on the new videoboard. Eric spent three plus days working on connecting the data fields to the videoboard. He was finally able to get everything to work properly before our event started. He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we provided a positive experience for both the participants and spectators.” ~nominated by Andy Ponce de Leon
