Saving Lives One Pint at a Time!

The blood drive hosted by Our Lady of the Lake in support of LSU Strength and Conditioning Coach Katie Guillory was an overwhelming success, uniting the LSU community and beyond in an incredible show of support. Inspired by Katie’s strength and resilience following her traumatic injury, friends, colleagues, student-athletes, and fans lined up throughout the day to donate, filling every slot and surpassing the original goal. The atmosphere was filled with purple and gold pride, encouraging words, and heartfelt stories of how Katie has impacted countless lives. By the end of the event, sixty-three units of life-saving blood had been collected which has the potential to save up to 180 people! This is a testament not only to Katie’s powerful influence but also to the deep compassion and generosity of the LSU family.
