TLC: August- Overdose Awareness Month

Honesty is the first step toward healing. Being open about substance use—whether it’s your own or someone you care about—can be incredibly difficult, but it’s also incredibly powerful. Silence and shame only deepen the struggle, while honest conversations create space for support, understanding, and recovery. It's okay to speak up. It's okay to ask for help. You’re not alone, and change is possible.

August 31st marks Overdose Awareness Day, the conclusion of Overdose Awareness Month. The loss of a loved one to an overdose is deeply traumatic and painful, often leaving family and friends with more questions than answers. Many are left grappling with trauma or PTSD and unsure of where to turn for help. Support is available. There is help…

Tiger Legacy Care was created to offer athletic alumni student-athletes and their families access to resources for mental health, behavioral challenges, and substance use concerns. We're here to help guide you through the process. Reach out for support to 866-LSU-9899 or email LSU@HopeDesk.co
