Boozar 2025: A Spectacular Success!

This year’s Halloween Boozar was another spooktacular success, bringing community connection to life! With more than 12,600 pieces of candy distributed, the event was full of smiles and sweet moments. Participants also left with plenty of fun giveaways, including bubble wands, slap bracelets, stamps, stickers, and temporary tattoos. 

Over 160 student-athletes from 13 teams, along with Cheer, Tiger Girls, Mike the Tiger, and proud LSU Athletics sponsor LA Blue, came together to make the event memorable for families across the Baton Rouge community. Halloween BOOzar is an annual event co-hosted by LSU Tiger Life and LSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives who helped set up, handout treats, and create a safe, family-friendly environment where young fans could enjoy Halloween alongside their favorite Tigers.

For the student-athletes, the event was just as rewarding. “Boozar is an event I look forward to every year. I enjoy seeing the kids have fun and meeting people in the community,” said Jay Mendell, a junior on the men’s golf team. “There is truly nothing like putting smiles on all those kids’ faces and connecting with the community that supports us so much,” added Taylor Riley, a junior on the women’s golf team.
